Torpedos from Team America and Korean Submarines
from the movie Team America: World Police
(Paramount Pictures, 2004)

<BACK
This is actually two sides of the same prop. As you can see in the first picture, it has a smaller Team America logo than the Cairo missiles (as seen on screen when Chris fires a torpedo from his submarine at Kim Jong Il's sub). This missile was first used with the Team America sub, and then it was going to be re-purposed as a Korean torpedo launched from Kim Jong Il's submarine. To do this, they needed to remove the Team America logo and paint the whole thing silver. I guess they realized it was only going to be seen from one side, so they never removed the logo completely from this side (but did remove it from the other side and painted that side silver as seen in the second picture). These torpedos, like the missile versions in Cairo, were suspended on a thin cable and pulled along by a small wire attached to a hole drilled the nose of the torpedo. (There's still a small piece of this 'pull wire' still attached to it.)

This is the other side of the prop (and, technically, the only side ever seen on screen). It's hard to see in the picture, but there are scratch marks on the side where it looks like they used a razor-blade to get the Team America logo off before painting it silver.

Here's the screen caps of it from the movie.
